The lengthening life course and big changes in the character of work are strong motivations. So too is growing recognition that education throughout adulthood has many positive benefits to individuals and societies
Transitions from school to work are among the most important moments in life pathways. Network affiliates are finding fresh ways to more concisely describe and predict how specific academic trajectories are variably rewarded in labor markets.
Pathways Network began with our shared sense that the complexity of academic progress in college wasn’t very well captured in social science research. Our shared work seeks to capture this complexity, while also providing insights that are concise enough to help improve and smooth academic progress in tangible ways.
